Clearly Better Cleaning is a small local business offering window, gutter and solar panel cleaning to local residentintual homes along with some commercial buildings.

What would my role entail at Clearly Better Cleaning?

Clearly Better Cleaning specialises in window, gutter and solar panel cleaning. We also provide exterior house washing and pressure cleaning services. A role with us would likely entail:

– cleaning windows
– cleaning gutters
– cleaning solar panels using our waterfed system
– using ladders and harnesses to safely work at heights (on roofs)
– carrying enquipment
– using pressure cleaners, blowers and waterfed poling systems
– working with a team
– working with a variety of clients

Do I need to have window cleaning experience?

No! We will provide on the job training to all new employees so there’s no need to have previous experience. We’re much more focused on the applicants attitude and ability to offer great customer service. 

Do I need to have any qualifications or training?

No. We provide on site training and any qualifications we require for our long term employees (such as working at heights training) can be completed after employeement has commenced.

Do I need to have an ABN?

No. We don’t hire sub-comtractors, all our workers are employees and are paid fair wages along with super. Most of our team start as casual employees and can work towards coming on board full-time if they wish.

Is there opportunity for promotion within the business?

Yes! We are a small, but growing business and we are excited to advance our team members as our business grows.

We have casual team members, full-time team members and team leaders (a role that includes the use of a phone an car). Our growth plan includes further positions such as cluster managers.

Do I need a police check?

Yes. As we service clients in Aged Care and NDIS we are required to have employees with clear national police checks. If you don’t already have one we will cover the cost to have one done.

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Yes. Again, it is a requirement of some of our clients (most specifically aged care) that our staff have had 3 Covid vaccinations along with an annual flu vaccination.

Do I need to supply my own uniform?

Some items will be provided by us, such as a shirt, a jacket and a hat. Work pants, boots and a belt will need to be provided by the successful applicant.

Where would I need to travel to?

Our office is based in Lilydale, which is where our team meets most mornings before dispersing in the company cars to their various jobs. Most days this is where we will start and finish our day.

We’re always looking to expand our team of professional window cleanings. This role would begin as a casual position with the possibility of increasing to full-time work in the future.

This position would be based in our Lilydale office and would begin with 2 x half days for a total of approx 8 hours per week. The days are completely negotioable, however our preference would be non-consecutive.

The role would include answering enquires via phone, e-mail an text, using our scheduling software to book quotes and jobs and a range of other admin tasks as requested. On the job training would be provided and on going support available.

We’re looking for someone with great customer service abilities, with a friendly phone manner and great communication skills. Someone who can work in both a team and independantly and is able to identify gaps in our systems and come up with creative solutions.

As we are a growing business our hope and plan would be to increase the breadth of this role over the coming months, either with the sucessful applicant taking on more hours or with a job share type arrangement.
